I have been trying to prepare for the next series by studying for Galacticraft in a test world and, though very poorly, I've already learned how to make a moon base. Sure, it's literally just a room, an air lock door, a solar panel and an oxygen collector, but that's just the start, isn't it? There's still, what?, two weeks to go with MD? Pretty sure there's enough time to study a bit more.
Spoilers for Episode 13 and the rest of the series: my ultimate goal is to finish the castle. Spoilers for the midsesh between 13 and whatever I'll do in 14: most of the work I did was completely negated by a little discovery I made.
I'll probably be naming the next series Minecraft Diaries Z, in honour of the original series-es that I based MD on (it seems that one of the jokes I did in one of the Portuguese videos is actually coming true). Fun Fact: the original Minecraft Diaries Z was really short-lived, with only 13 episodes, while Minecraft Diaries "1.0" (for the lack of a better term, it really was just "Diários de Minecraft") had a longer run of 35 eps. MD X, the follow up to Z, had 28 and the following MD M had only 21.
I'll also probably be removing Hats and Morph from the modlist and adding Backlytra. Hats, I haven't been able to get the hats to appear, but that could just be something with the config, so I'm still testing it. Morph, the only reason I wanted it (and also Animal Bikes for KP III) is because I like being able to fly on survival, and I learned about Backlytra, which does just that by backporting the elytra to some of the earlier versions. I still have to test it, though, so I'm not fully sure if Morph will truly be gone from the list.
And, finally, tomorrow's video will be coming late because my lazy ass has not yet made the thumbnail for it and I have school tomorrow morning. It'll, really hopefully, be out by 7pm UTC−03:00.
PS: I also need to install Galacticraft Planets; I forgot to do that. And also, have an actual list organizing what I want to do instead of figuring it out on the fly like I did with MD. I'm very likely to have ADHD; I really need something telling me to do something for me to actually get something done.
PPS: Backlytra does not work. You can, in fact, glide... but you do just that: glide. I tried using rockest to fly up: nope; not how it works. It's also very inconsistent. You have to be running and be, like, five blocks away from the ground for it to open... Elpis, the worst of curses...
I found another mod, though: Simple Flight. "This mod doesn't have you flying like you would in creative mode, no, it has you flapping your wings to gain and maintain altitude or gliding from ledges and cliffs to avoid fall damage or blasting into the air with the power of a jet engine strapped to your back."
PPPS: It works. It's pretty fun too. Even with the leather wings, which only gives you about 16 flaps [PPPPS, not even that; literally just 8 flaps], is pretty fun to use. Sure, it's not an elytra and I really wanted something that felt as responsive as THE elytra, and not the BACKlytra, but it's really fun. You'll look like Flappy Bird, though. "a careless misstep could have the power to put an abrupt and bloody end to your little romp in Survival Land..." so much drama for nothing. Even the leather wings let you flap accross a forest in a jiffy if you know how to space your time in the air and when to land to restart your counter. And it's not like the wings break if you run out; you just fall without being able to fly without doing an Icarus... Elpis, the best of blesses...
Hats didn't work, though. Bye to Hats, buh-bye to Morph.
Two mythology jokes in a row.
